FCS will be bringing a few construction equipment models to the inventory in 2025! We are currently finalizing the forklift series which will drop in February as well as our newest model of a small front end loader.
These models take a bit more time to finalize since the custom support process is tedious. Here are a few model pics to show the level of detail you can expect at 1:87 scale.
We are now less than a week away from the show and modeling is in full force over at the ITLA Headquarters! Lots of cool FCS designed and ITLA 3d printed goodies have begun gracing the building model mock ups! It will be super exciting to see the full display as we launch the new kit here at the show!
Here’s several angles of the full kit coming out soon!
Several years ago I pursued a design idea to generate a few custom infill patterns for Dynamic Preservation Models for a scratch build project I was working on. That led to a bit more robust series of options to allow modelers to completely customize anything industrial related they might build with DPM modular kits! I’ve sold over 1000 individual infill parts over the years and last year switched to digital sales knowing that modelers would eventually really start dabbling in the 3d printing world.
I’m not one to skirt the legalities of artistic copyright infringement or anything related to marketing without using the proper channels for approval. So yes - I have 100% approval from Woodland Scenics to not only promote the product I have designed to be compatible with DPM modular kits, but also have the approval to use heir logo on the product ensuring their approval of the product. That does not simply get handed out to just anyone AND it should tell the modeler a little about the quality of the work and the proper methods I use as an artist in obtaining approvals.
Here are a few of the models created for the full arch top series along with a few work in progress pics of how they fit into the DPM modules.
It has been a great journey with this particular product line and I look forward to the development of several more design options to fit the modular series!
FCS is headed to the Amherst Train Show in West Springfield, MA this year. I will be attending and sitting in the ITLA Booth with Nick Masney (owner of ITLA) promoting our new collaborative kit for downtown street scape environments along the rail. We have been working since September of 2024 to fine tune the seamless integration of custom 3d printed parts into the ITLA laser cut kits. It’s a a perfect match and we are excited to show off our 1st collaboration together!
Come see us @ Booth #32B in the Better Living Center (BLC)
Here’s a sneak peek at an early mock up as we began to navigate the digital transfer and collaboration process between a US based office (FCS) and a Canadian based office (ITLA) - Enjoy!
